Regenerative Medicine and RegMedNet have launched the fourth edition of The Glossary for Cell & Gene Therapy and Regenerative Medicine, an essential resource for scientists working in cell and gene therapy, regenerative medicine and related fields.

Adam Price-Evans, Managing Editor of Regenerative Medicine, commented, “We are delighted to share the latest edition of the glossary which we hope continues to be regarded as an invaluable resource for all players in the field across academic, clinical, industry and societal settings.

With the help of leading experts in the field, our editorial team has updated all previous definitions since the previous edition and provided many additional terms across gene therapy, new regulatory designations and more Given the continued rapid growth of regenerative medicine, we hope the glossary will both aid in the harmonization of terminology used and help bridge the gap between experts and the general public.

Publisher of RegMedNet, Freya Leask, said: “As the field continues to change and evolve, it is important that we speak the same technical language. We are very pleased to celebrate the advances the field has made over the last 2 years by expanding and updating this edition, and we hope it continues to be a useful resource for experts and newcomers alike.”

Free copies of the glossary will be available from the RegMedNet and Regenerative Medicine booth at the American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy 2019 Annual Meeting (April 29-May, Washington DC, USA).

The glossary is now free to access online here: https://www.futuremedicine.com/doi/10.2217/rme-2018-1308s
