Spotlight on cell monitoring and imaging

Ineffective cell monitoring and imaging can have a tremendous impact on cell-based therapies in preclinical, translational and clinical research. Novel imaging approaches would enable stakeholders to effectively monitor transplanted cells when looking at delivery, survival, biodistribution and integration.

In this Spotlight, produced in association with Scientific Bioprocessing, we will explore the basic principles behind different cell monitoring and imaging approaches, including the benefits of using such approaches for monitoring cell-based therapies. We will discuss the current state-of-the-art and opportunities for growth with existing technologies. Finally, we will convene experts in the field to discuss current obstacles and unmet needs associated with monitoring transplanted cells and share their insights into the future.
