Editor’s note: member posting ability temporarily suspended
In this post, RegMedNet Editor Freya Leask discusses the reasoning behind the recent site update to remove the ability for members to post their own content.
The regenerative medicine and research community are at the heart of everything we do here at RegMedNet. From consistently monitoring site usage and feedback to providing you an opportunity to share your own content, we continuously aim to ensure we are providing the content that matters most to you.
However, with our huge growth over the last year, we have started to notice a huge increase in spam users and posts, which we know negatively affects your experience of using RegMedNet. As such, we have taken the decision to turn off the ability to post for the majority of members. We hope this will be a temporary measure whilst we discuss internally the best way to manage this but we can’t guarantee that at this time.
Nevertheless, this doesn’t mean we don’t still want to hear from you! If you have an idea for a post, simply drop me an email at email@example.com so I can turn on this ability for you. Stuck for inspiration? How about:
- A report on a conference or training event you recently attended
- A journal club-style article, commenting on a paper you’ve read in any journal
- An introduction to your research and discussing what you hope to achieve next
- A blog sharing your experiences in regenerative medicine, whether you’re an early career researcher or a tenured professor
We also have a number of exciting features coming up in the rest of 2019, where I’ll be commissioning content on hot topics including:
- Cell culture
- Raw materials
- Viral vectors
If you’re interested in writing or being interviewed on those topics, or any other, OR you have an idea for a topic you’d like to see covered, drop me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or comment below – I’d love to hear from you.
As ever, I’d like to thank the fantastic RegMedNet community for their attention and involvement, and I hope to hear from some of you soon!
