1st Regenerative Medicine Expo Tokyo welcomes 42,000 visitors

1st Regenerative Medicine Expo Tokyo, Asia’s leading exhibition for technology, products and services, and its concurrent conference welcomed just over 42,000 visitors and almost 1200 exhibitors at their recent event (3-5 July, Tokyo, Japan). Visitors to the exhibition hall were also able to collect a free copy of The Glossary for Cell & Gene Therapy and Regenerative Medicine 2018.

The comprehensive lecture program covered the latest news and updates in the development of regenerative medicines, include an update from Tohru Hirose, Novartis Pharma K.K. (Tokyo, Japan) on their progress in CAR-T development, a discussion on the future of healthcare from Yoshihiko Hatanaka, Astellas Pharma Inc. (ChÅ«Å, Japan) and the challenge of ensuring Japan remains competitive in the drug development field from Hideyuki Kurata, AGC Inc. (Tokyo, Japan). Visitors attended from universities and academic institutions, pharmaceutical companies and developers, and clinics providing advanced therapies.
