Stem cell-based technologies lay the basis for pioneering approaches in regenerative medicine, drug screening, and toxicology testing. Their commercial use requires reliable methods for the large-scale production of stem cells in consistent quality.

The 1st Stem Cell Community Day bring together experts from industry and academia, to discuss recent achievements, challenges, and chances in stem cell bioprocessing for research and commercial manufacturing.

Program:
In three sessions attendees will discuss the state of the art in stem cell research and bioprocessing, commercial manufacturing of stem cell-based products, and the application of upstream and downstream processing techniques to stem cells.

Confirmed speakers:
• Keynote lecture: Steve Oh (Stem Cells & Bioprocessing Technology Institute, Singapore)
• Ricardo Baptista (Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult, United Kingdom)
• Ana Margarida Fernandes-Platzgummer (Instituto Superior Téchnico, Portugal)

Conference chair:
• Robert Zweigerdt (MH Hannover, Germany)

Date and Venue:
Join the event on April 4, 2017 at the Crowne Plaza Hamburg City Alster and take the chance to discuss the latest achievements in stem cell bioprocessing. Online registration is open until March 29, 2017.

Call for papers:
Take the chance to present your findings and discuss with your colleagues: Submit your abstract now. One poster will be selected for a poster prize.
