Developing a nondestructive method for human mesenchymal stem cells dose evaluation in a highly porous scaffold for bone regeneration

Written by Future Science OA

A new free-to-read research piece from Future Science OA looks at a new method to noninvasively follow cell proliferation in a bid to provide a tool for cell dose determination in cell-based therapies. Owing to the importance of cell number determination in cell-based therapies, Carla Divieto and Maria Paola Sassi from INRIM (Istituto Nazionale di Ricerca Metrologica, Italy) developed a new non-invasive method for measuring 3D proliferation of human mesenchymal stem cells on Biocoral® scaffolds. Their method could be a useful tool in cell determination for regenerative medicine and cell—scaffold interaction studies. Read the full research piece, free, here. Divieto...
