Ownership of created content

All ‘content’ created by RegMedNet, including any sponsored material subject to the “Content use by the sponsor” section below, together with any recordings, footage, edits, transcripts, graphics, and any other material created or produced in connection with the ‘content’ remains the intellectual property of Informa UK Limited trading as Taylor & Francis Group (company number 01072954), owner of RegMedNet (“Taylor & Francis”).

This ‘content’ includes but is not limited to; news articles, interviews (written, podcast and video), video content, listicles, infographics, eBooks, In Focus, Spotlights, webinars and panel discussions.

Content use by the sponsor

Sponsored content

Sponsored content includes any content that has received funding from an external source for its creation and publication. Sponsored content is clearly marked with the sponsor’s logo, and a statement saying that the content has been supported by the sponsor at the bottom of the page. This can include content produced in-house, but in guided collaboration with the sponsor, for instance infographics, webinars, and eBooks. Subject to the intellectual property rights in the logo and name of the sponsor, which remains the property of the sponsor, all content, whether sponsored or not, remains the intellectual property of Taylor & Francis.

Content use and rehosting

Once the promotional period of the ‘content’ is complete (standard time of four weeks post launch date or any other length of time as notified by Taylor & Francis) the sponsor can use, reproduce, distribute, publish and promote the ‘content’ on their own website and channels, provided the following parameters are met:

  • All use of content should include appropriate attribution to RegMedNet as the original source.
  • Rehosted content must feature alongside a reference and hyperlink back to the initial publication on RegMedNet. Example statement: This material was initially created by RegMedNet and the original version can be found here: (link to material – this may feature as a hyperlink from the word “here”). 
  • All content remains unchanged and retains the RegMedNet logo. The sponsor can make reasonable edits for formatting purposes (e.g resizing for different platforms) provided that the original context and integrity of the content are unchanged.

Such channels may include, but are not limited to:

  • Websites;
  • Social media platforms;
  • Marketing materials;
  • Presentations;
  • Advertisements;
  • Client communications;
  • Educational or promotional materials; and
  • Internal and external corporate communications.

The sponsor may exercise these rights without requiring further permission from RegMedNet.

If the sponsor would like RegMedNet to create a separate edited version of the content or any of the relevant materials for reuse with purely sponsor branding, this is available upon request from to RegMedNet and may be subject to a cost.

Content use by external parties

External parties

External parties refer to any individual, group or company that have not funded the creation of ‘content’, excluding RegMedNet and any applicable sponsor.

Permissions – content use and rehosting

Written permission is required from Taylor & Francis if an external party seeks to reproduce, distribute, publish or promote ‘content’ from RegMedNet.

Reuse of material such as text, infographics, figures, tables, boxes or data may attract a permission fee (unless the publisher is a co-signatory to the STM permission guidelines). Any reuse enquires should be directed to the Head of Digital Content of Taylor & Francis, explaining which material you intend to use, the URL of the original material, and details of how to intend to reuse the material.

Taylor & Francis is a signatory to the STM Permissions Guidelines produced by the International Association of Scientific, Medical and Technical Publishers (http://www.stm-assoc.org/). Taylor & Francis requires express permission requests to be made irrespective of whether charges apply.

The sponsor or external party should immediately notify RegMedNet and Taylor & Francis in writing if any of the following matters come to its attention:

  • Any actual, suspected or threatened infringement of the intellectual property in the ‘content’.
  • Any claim made or threatened that the ‘content’ infringes the rights of any third party.
  • Any other form of attack, charge or claim to which the ‘content’ may be subject.
