In the manufacturing of cell therapies, fill and finish is a critical, high-value step for ensuring final products are safe, efficacious and standardized. Fill and finish is a highly sensitive stage and manual procedures suffer from a number of risk factors including, contamination, variability between operators and documentation errors. 

In this In Focus feature, produced in association with Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies, we will investigate how automation can overcome many of the challenges associated with manual fill and finish procedures and how Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies’ Finia^® Fill and Finish System enables best practices for packaging final cell therapy products.
