Microstereolithography utilized to print scaffolds to support bone cells

South Korean engineers have induced faster proliferation of bone cells by seeding them on microstereolithography 3D printed scaffolds. Researchers from Korea Polytechnic University and Gachon University (both South Korea) have utilized Blu-ray to power a 3D printing technique to produce scaffolds suitable for the regeneration of bone cells. The results of their study were published in the Journal of Mechanical Science and Technology. Microstereolithography (MSTL) is a high resolution 3D printing technique capable of producing objects with features smaller than 50 microns.
