REGenableMED April 2016 Reimbursement Policy Briefing

Written by Andrew Webster

Presented here is a Policy Briefing published today that has been prepared by members of the ESRC-funded REGenableMED project.

The REGenableMED project, which explores a number of key factors that are likely to determine the reimbursement of regenerative medicine therapies as they move towards the clinic. The Briefing outlines those factors that are specific to the UK as well as more widely, and concludes with a series of priorities that policy needs to address. The Briefing is timely inasmuch as a new Inquiry by the House of Commons Science and Technology Select Committee into regenerative medicine was announced this week.
The Policy Briefing has had very valuable comment from members of the Advisory Group to the project, but does not thereby imply any formal endorsement of the recommendations by their own institutional affiliations.
