Videos from Pint of Science 2018: 3D printing in medicine

Written by Georgi Makin

In May 2018, 3DMedNet had the opportunity to attend the Pint of Science 3D printing in medicine event. Find out more about the event and watch talks from 3DMedNet Editor, Georgi Makin, as well as Daniil Nikitichev (University College London, UK) and James Avery (Imperial College London, UK).

The Pint of Science festival granted 3DMedNet the opportunity to live stream an introductory talk from Editor, Georgi Makin, and record talks from speakers throughout the evening. Georgi thoroughly enjoyed chatting to many different people with varying levels of experience in the field, discussing the future and potential of different avenues of 3D printing in medicine.

Pint of Science is a science festival that happens annually in over 20 countries worldwide. A non-profit organization, Pint of Science brings researchers in some of the most progressive areas of science into informal settings to discuss their latest research to an audience who may not necessarily have scientific backgrounds. The aim is to engage the public with the latest scientific research by delivering talks and displays in an accessible and relaxed format.

Check out our videos from the event below, and watch Georgi, Daniil Nikitichev (University College London, UK) and James Avery (Imperial College London, UK) in action!
