Bioprinted, personalized scaffolds for ankle joint tissue regeneration in development

The TRIANKLE consortium - made up of 12 European organizations - has come together to develop bioprinted, personalized scaffolds for ankle joint tissue regeneration. The main aim of the TRIANKLE consortium is to develop an innovative, personalized collagen as well as gelatin-based implants. These personalized approaches could then be manufactured with 3D technologies or 3D printing, and used for patients with cartilage injuries or tendinopathies, including Achilles tendon partial ruptures. The regenerative medicine-based research project has an overall budget of EU€9.5 million over the next 4 years, beginning in 2021, with CELLINK AB (MA, USA) receiving EU€622,000 of the funds...
