Aim: Volumetric muscle loss (VML) is a composite loss of skeletal muscle, which heals with fibrosis, minimal muscle regeneration, and incomplete functional recovery. This study investigated whether collagen–glycosaminoglycan scaffolds (CGS) improve functional recovery following VML.
