Scientists 3D print life-like heart model, complete with surrounding structures

A team of scientists from the University of Minnesota (MN, USA) – in collaboration with Medtronic (MN, USA) – has 3D printed a life-like heart model having developed a novel technique for multi-material 3D printing. Described in Science Advances, the team reports the life-like heart model has the exact look and feel of a real patient’s heart, incorporating soft sensor array.
