By pairing the Utlimaker S5 and Materialise Mimics inPrint software, the companies have successfully complied with FDA regulatory guidelines for point-of-care 3D printing in hospitals. Materialise (Leuven, Belgium) has certified the Ultimaker S5 (Geldermalsen, The Netherlands) for use in the printing of orthopedic, maxillofacial and cardiovascular models for clinical use.
