Researchers in Switzerland have developed a novel microplate 3D bioprinting platform for muscle and tendon tissue engineering. Researchers from Switzerland have developed a novel screening platform which can produce muscle and tendon-like tissues using 3D bioprinting, and could be a promising new tool for musculoskeletal drug discovery and development. The results of the study have been published in the journal SLAS Technology.  There is a need for medication to treat age-related degenerative muscle and tendon diseases.
