After a serious car accident in 2017, Deborah Stoneburner (IL, USA) was left with a completely crushed ankle bone among other injuries. Stoneburner was treated by Adam Schiff, an orthopaedic surgeon at Loyola Medicine (IL, USA), who managed to successfully replace the damaged bone with a 3D printed metal implant.
