Bioink containing platelet-rich plasma may be a step forward for regenerative medicine

Written by Georgi Makin

Researchers from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (NE, USA), MIT (MA, USA), Harvard Medical School (MA, USA) and Massachusetts General Hospital (MA, USA) have incorporated platelet-rich plasma into bioink. Results published in Advanced Healthcare Materials indicate the capability of bioink to be able to accommodate an optimal concentration of platelet-rich plasma, dispensing growth factors which aid the repair and healing of soft tissue injuries. Researchers from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (NE, USA), MIT (MA, USA), Harvard Medical School (MA, USA) and Massachusetts General Hospital (MA, USA) have incorporated the platelet-rich plasma into bioink, which could later become the foundation for future...
