A partnership between University of Virginia and Organovo will develop 3D bioprinted tissue to treat volumetric muscle loss. In a collaboration with Organovo (CA, USA), researchers at the University of Virginia (VA, USA) will aim to develop 3D bioprinted tissues to treat volumetric muscle loss injury (VML). VML often occurs as a result of trauma or life-saving surgery but can also be caused by congenital or acquired diseases.
