ELRIG covers cell and gene therapy in new virtual conference

Written by RegMedNet

In the twenty years of its existence, the European Laboratory Innovation Research Group (ELRIG, UK) has consistently organized world-class conferences, with globally renowned speakers, who have spoken on many cutting-edge topics pertinent to the world’s drug discovery community. It is therefore surprising that this year’s Cell & Gene Therapy 2021 conference is the first time that ELRIG has tackled this topic.

ELRIG is a not-for-profit, volunteer-led organization, whose purpose is to bring the life science and drug discovery communities together to learn, share, connect, innovate and collaborate, on an open access basis. They achieve this through the provision of world class conferences, networking events, webinars and digital content.

Two of ELRIG’s key values are to always ensure the highest quality of content and that content will be made readily accessible to all; as such, all of ELRIG’s meetings are free-of-charge to attend!

Not only is Cell & Gene Therapy 2021 freely accessible, but this interactive 2-day conference will host world leading scientists from academia and industry to discuss current and future perspectives of cell and gene therapies in a virtual forum on 18-19 May, 2021.

Cell and gene therapies are rapidly evolving at a fast pace, revealing many new and exciting therapeutic opportunities not previously amenable to drug discovery. ELRIG aim to bring together scientists from academia, pharma, biotech and CROs to engage with speakers at the cutting edge of developing and applying cell and gene therapies.

The event will help participants develop a better understanding of the field and provide opportunities to interact with a range of key experts. ELRIG’s aim is to create an open and inspiring environment that will foster discussions and the identification of opportunities for collaboration with a scientific program developed around three key focus areas:

  • Cell-based therapies across disease areas
  • Advanced therapies in oncology
  • Therapies for genetic conditions

The program also includes poster viewing sessions, a poster snapshot presentation and vendor exhibition.
