Gastric wounds repaired with microrobot capable of in situ, in vivo bioprinting

Researchers from Tsinghua University (Beijing, China) have developed a microrobot capable of performing in vivo bioprinting in situ that can repair tissues inside the body. The concept for the bioprinting microrobot, described in Biofabrication, has been proven for the repair of gastric wounds. "Gastric wall injury is a common problem in the digestive tract, and about 12 per cent of the world's population suffer from it to varying degrees.
