Hunan surgeons use 3D printing for the first time in pediatric cardiac surgeries

Surgeons from Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University (Hunan, China) have used 3D printed heart models to preform two complex pediatric surgeries. Yang Yifeng, a cardiologist from Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University (Hunan, China) has successfully performed two procedures with the aid of 3D printed heart models. This is the first time 3D printing has been used in pediatric cardiovascular surgery in Hunan.
